The King of the North Gaming Festival - the live finals event, is open to anyone, and tickets are on sale now.
£2 for one, or £10 for 10 in advance, £3 on the door.
The event will be taking place at Manchester Academy which is the Academy building next to the University of Manchester Students' Union. The address is: Manchester Academy, Manchester University Students Union, Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9PR.
The Crown Jewel
The centrepiece of the event are the live finals of our major eSports tournaments - in League of Legends, Overwatch and CS:GO. Expect to watch some of the best teams in university eSports battle it out on stage for a slice of our massive prize pool.
Console Gaming
The University of Manchester Gaming Society, Salford and MMUGG will be running awesome console areas for attendees to relax, play and compete on throughout the day. UoM Gaming Soc will also be hosting time trial tournaments in Mariokart 8, Smash Bros WiiU and more!
Tabletop Gaming
For those who prefer to play games in a more physical medium, we have you covered! The University of Manchester Board Game, Bridge, Chess Yu-gi-oh, Poker societies (the list is endless) will be on hand to provide fun card and board games.
Tournaments for all
Smash Bros WiiU and Street Fighter V will all feature in tournaments at the live event that anyone can enter. Check out the 'Tournaments' tab above to learn more about them.
The Community!
As we are a community event, the most important part of the event is YOU! Come along and interact with loads of like minded gamers. Whether you are cheering a Teemo pick or annihilating a friend on Smash Bros (or the person being annihilated) you will feel at home at the event!
